Morning Chess - Fall 2025

Welcome to Morning Chess registration. The program will begin the week of Tuesday, September 30, and runs through Friday, December 12, 2025. Morning Chess is offered Tuesdays through Fridays on each day school is in session.

Students can opt to register for up to four days per week. The cost for the fall session is $25 per weekday. Students who wish to attend three days per week, for example, would need to complete this form three separate times, choosing a different day of the week for each registration.

The program opens daily at 7:30AM, when our building doors open. Participating students are to enter via our regular morning entrance (exit 9/10) upon arrival and are to report directly to the library. Registered students will receive a special chess pass to permit them to walk upstairs to library. Breakfast will be available in the library and students will be supervised by Mrs. Cortes.

At 8:00AM, students will report to their advisory class and follow their regular clas schedule.

Students who join will be added to a Morning Chess Google Classroom, where occasional announcements will be made. Should a last-minute cancellation become necessary, students are to report to their regularly scheduled morning assembly location (grade 6: cafeteria, grade 7: auditorium, grade 8: schoolyard/gymnasium).

2. Should you require assistance finding your child's nycstudent.net account, please visit this DOE webpage: https://mystudent.nyc/ Once you log in, select your respective child, and then scroll down and select the "Student" icon. Your child's DOE email address can be found there.

3. All fees are non-refundable, unless the class is cancelled.
