CHESS TRIP TO P.S 3

Dear Parents,

It is with great pleasure that we announce a Paulo Chess Trip on Friday, May 23. 2025. Select students are being invited to go to P.S. 003 The Margaret Gioiosa School 80 S Goff Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309 to play chess with students at that school. We will depart from IS 75 at about 9:00 a.m. and return by 11:00 a.m.

There is no cost for this trip. However, this permission form must be completed in order students to attend.

The deadline to register is Friday, April 25 , 2025. You will receive an email confirmation online. Only the first 40 students who register will be able to attend. Please note that participation in this trip is contingent upon behavior. A conduct grade of N, for any reason, may be grounds for exclusion in the trip. I will be conferring with the deans.

· Buses will leave Paulo at approximately 9:00AM. Buses will depart PS 3 at 10:45.

· Students are to wear an IS 75/Paulo T-Shirt (red color)

b) I agree that in the event of an emergency injury or illness, the staff member(s) in charge of the trip may act on my behalf and at my expense in obtaining medical treatment for my child.

c) I understand that my child is expected to behave responsibly and to follow the school’s discipline code and policies.

d) I agree and understand that I am responsible for the actions of my child. I release the school from all claims and liability that arise in connection with the trip, except if due to the negligence of school officials.

e) I understand that I am responsible for getting my child to and from the departure and return sites identified above. I understand that my child shall be accompanied by staff member(s) during the trip, including while traveling from the departure site to the destination site, and from the destination site to the return site.

f) I understand that alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs are prohibited and have discussed this prohibition with my child. I understand that if my child is found in possession of these substances, he/she will be subject to school disciplinary procedures and possible criminal prosecution.

g) I understand that students who violate the school's discipline code may be excluded in the future by the school from participating in a trip.
